Warning...this is a long post!

Ok so life has been pretty crazy lately between tests and writing papers. But I am sick so I feel justified in taking some time to write another update with some cute pictures and a video! I guess there are some perks to being sick. :)

Henry and McKenzie are becoming friends! And as can be seen by this picture Henry is almost able to sit up on his own! It is very exciting!

We had a ward Chili Cook off and Henry dressed up as a monkey. I personally think he is an adorable monkey!

Daddy decided to try and show Henry how to act like a monkey.

Henry and I met Mackay on campus and had a picnic the other day. Henry loves to have daddy kiss his neck!

So the other day we had a very heavy rain storm. I walked back to the kitchen because it sounded like the water was on in the sink. Then I looked at the door and water was flooding in. haha It was pretty funny. Turned out the cement on the sidewalk above us was cracked and funneling all the water to our apartment. The land lord was really good and fixed it as soon as they could.

Life is really good right now! Mackay and I are as busy as we could possibly be but we are happier than ever before! Life really is not about having a bunch of time to do what you want. It is about following the Lord's commands and changing to become like Him! There is no better way to spend your life!

Something for the Grandparents!

I thought I would include this for the grandparents. I have talked about how Henry just chatters so I took a video of him. Sorry the angle is not that good but if he sees the camera he will stop talking!

The crazy life we live!

Mackay and I are back in school and boy has life gotten crazy! Mondays and Wednesdays are my worst. From 8-9 Mackay and I have class together and Henry comes with us. Henry and I head home and get ready to go to Christie's. I drop Henry off at Christie's about 10:30, go to class at 11, come back at 12 and feed Henry. The cycle repeats at 2. I come back and take Henry up to campus. at 5 Mackay and I switch and I go to class until 6:25. I come home make dinner and spend a little time with my boys! So those are my crazy days. But they are worth it because Tuesday, Thursday, Friday I only have one class so I am able to spend time with Henry and get homework and things with the house done. Mackay is very busy as always. He is doing really well and still finds time to play with Henry, spend time with me, and help me around the house. He is amazing! Friday nights are our favorites because we get to forget everything and just go on a date. Every other Friday we go to the Temple for our date. And the other Fridays we just find something we can do with Henry. It is so nice to send time with Mackay especially when we get to go to the Temple. Henry is our little trouper! He goes to bed between 9 and 10 and usually wakes up between 6 and 8. He is getting to where he likes to see Christie and will even give Kenzie kisses. He still cries if Kenzie yells at him too much which is actually really cute!

So yeah that is our life right now. We are busy, busy, busy but we are happier than we have ever been. The Lord blesses us immensely each day. I am so thankful for my membership in Christ's church and my knowledge and testimony of his Gospel. If there are any of you out there that are reading this who have never read the Book of Mormon, please read it and pray about its truthfulness. It is through Christ and living His way that we find true happiness!

Henry's addiction to cloth

I would like to introduce you all to Henry's addiction to cloth. Henry Mackay Merrill loves to chew on things. He loves to chew on his fist, my fingers, teething rings, and anything else he can get into his mouth. But above all of these things he loves to chew on cloth. Yes that is right things such as towels, blankets, burp clothes, and even couches. The following is a series of pictures of him tasting and eventually loving my parent's couch! Hope you enjoy!

Long over due post!

Life has been very crazy lately! Mackay and I are back in school full time and so there is never a dull moment. I just wanted to do a short update with some pictures!

I went to visit my family in Missouri and while we were there Mackay's Grandpa Joe and my Grandpa Foster came by to visit and so I took a picture of Henry with two of his Great Grandpas!

Lots has happened since my last post. So I thought I would load a bunch of pictures and do a little updating!

Hailey, Mackay's little sister, is staying a couple weeks with us. This is her and Henry waiting for the fireworks to start!

Four generations of love!

We had Henry's blessing and so all of the family came out! I will post pictures of that later when I get them! We very much enjoyed having so much family here to support and love us! Hailey has been staying with us until the Merrill family reunion! She has been a great help! She brings Henry to me, I feed him, and she rocks him back to sleep! With all the extra sleep I have been getting I am finally starting to feel like myself again! Thanks Hay!
Mackay and I love being parents and love to watch Henry grow! He now fights sleep more than ever! He will have his eyes closed after rocking him for 20 minutes and then start kicking his legs or flailing his arms to wake himself up. Haha I have taken to weighting down his legs with blankets in the crib so he can stay asleep! He just does not want to miss any of the action.
We found out that Henry does not like Spicy foods! There were a couple of days when I accidentally ate some spicy foods and Henry would cry the whole time he was eating. I felt so bad for the kid. Once we figured it out I pumped all the spicy milk out and he has been just fine since!
Henry wants to be up and walking already! He tries to jump out of your arms! And if you are not careful he will!
We love our little Henry!
