Firsts

Henry has experienced a bunch of firsts lately so I thought I would share them with y'all!
The first 2 pictures are not techniquly first but are pictures of Henry in the chair that Aunt Sharron gave to him. This chair was hers when she was Henry's age and now he gets to enjoy it! Aunt Sharron if you are reading this I want you to know that Henry adores his chair! I wanted to share these pictures for you!

Loving his big-boy chair!

Loving his big-boy chair #2!
The first of the firsts...Hiking! My little brother Jacob is in town as seen in the previous post and we went hiking together. It about killed me but we had a great time. Thanks for going with us Jacob! Oh and thanks for carrying Henry part of the way so I did not die : )

Hiking with Uncle Jacob.

Our Beautiful trail.
Oh so this is my call for sympathy...I forgot to put on sunscreen and my legs got fried. Haha but as you can see it was in the strangest pattern and I have no idea why.

My poor legs.
So the very next day Jacob took Henry and I swimming and we had so much fun. Well I Henry kind of had a good time...he needed a nap so he did not fully enjoy the experience : ( Maybe next time!)

Catching some rays.

About to fall asleep.
By the way he really did fall asleep in this thing : )

Kenzie having a great time.

Cold and done.

Trying to convince him to swim with Kenzie.

Well you can see how well that worked out : )
And last of all...Henry's first haircut! Yes we finally did it. Henry's hair was around 2-3in long and I am tired of everyone asking me how old my little girl is so I cut it! That and I just thought it would look better!

Testing the razor.

The first locks...I know they are hard to see.

Cut, cut, cut!

The damage.

The studly man himself : )

Henry's 1st Birthday!!!!!

My little boy had his first birthday and it is crazy to me!
We had a barbecue for him, opened presents, and gave him cupcakes. He loved the cupcakes and ended up eating three of them :) (I figured it was his birthday so he could have a lot of sugar.) We had lots of fun celebrating his birthday. Here are some videos of the fun. (I was bad and forgot to take lots of pictures...Sorry!)

The hair is gone

By the title of this post you can guess it has something to do with somebody's hair. Well that hair is mine...or was mine. So for roughly 3 months now, I have been itching to cut my hair. I tried a new style to get myself to keep it long, but it still spent most of its time in a pony-tail. So the other night, I checked out a bunch of short cuts and found one I loved and thought would look good on me :) Mackay said if I wanted it short to go for it. So I did! The hair stylist tried to talk me out of it, as she had recently chopped her hair and hated it. I persevered and now have shorter hair than I have had in my life! And... I love it! So enough boring you guys with my hair story. Please enjoy the pictures below :)
From the front.

From the back/side.
OK, so did you really think it was possible for me to post pictures without posting some of my adorable little Henry? Well if you did, you were wrong.

Henry and Daddy playing outside the store.

One happy boy to be with his daddy.

He conquered the box :)

I caught this shot as he was climbing out of this toy. He was snug as a bug in there.

He always climbs out before I can get the camera :(

"Yummm, Mom, I like watermelon!"

He was so proud of his destruction :)

One of my favorite faces.

My boys!
OK, so this last photo has a story behind it. The little outfit Henry is wearing was Mackay's. Mackay wore it to get his picture taken at Kiddie Kandids on his first birthday. Kiddie Kandids then took that photo and used it for their Father's Day advertisement. Pretty cool, huh! Well, Mackay's mom was in town, and so we had Henry wear it. She loved it! :)

Long over due post on graduation!

Henry sporting a cap before finals began.

Graduation has come and gone and it was a wonderful occasion! We had Mackay's mom, his sister Meagan and her son Cash, Jordan, my mom, my Grandpa Foster, and my Grandma and Grandpa Jackson. I really appreciated and enjoyed having all of them visit and support me in this exciting event! Below are some pictures of the big day.

My wonderful supportive family!

My wonderful Mother and Sister In-law!

Jordan had to get in on the picture taking action

My family after Josh's and my convocations
My Grandpa Foster

My Mom!

Henry thinks Grandpa Foster is funny!

Giving Grandma loves. He gave both his grandmas lots of loves while they were here!
A quick update on us now. I am home full-time and loving every minute of it. Henry and I spend a lot of time outside which makes us both happy. We play games and take lots of naps haha. Slowly I am getting my house put in order which is very nice.
Mackay takes the MCAT this Friday at 8am. So he has been very busy studying for the MCAT. I am so thankful for his consistent hard work! We will all be relieved when he finishes the MCAT and we get to have some goo time together, at least for the remainder of the summer.
We are loving life and just enjoy each day! The Lord has blessed us greatly and I am eternally grateful to Him for the many blessings He continues to pour out upon us!
