- Singing Jingle Bells, Eddy the Elephant, You Can Fly, and Old MacDonald Had a Farm over and over again at Henry's request.
- Driving 2500 miles round trip.
- Reading half of The Lord of the Rings: Two Towers. (A little too much Lord of the Rings since I started having dreams that Sauron had captured Henry, Julia, and me...)
- Thirty minute and longer gas stops to change diapers, nurse, and let Henry "drive" the car to help his and our sanity.
- Spending 3 hours trying to get Henry to go to sleep in the hotel on the way out there. (We finally resorted to putting him in Julia's crib, turning off all the lights, and ignoring him.)
- While ignoring Henry in the hotel, listening to him repeat "Mommy where are you?" over and over again.
- Having a crib for both kids in our hotel on the return trip and spending only 5 minutes getting Henry to sleep.
- Watching Tangled, eating Mom's Lasagna, and laying on the bed as a family in our hotel room!
- Henry locking us out of the car in -11 degree Fahrenheit weather.
- Getting stuck in traffic and "having" to look at the BEAUTIFUL scenery.
- Putting Julia in size 5 diapers so she would not fill her car seat with poop.
- Henry saying, "Mom, Dad, stop talking," more than a few times.
We had so much fun on our road trip together. Yes there were stressful times, but over all it was fun to be together! And our kids did a fantastic job traveling.
